3.5 millions of people had been struggling going to work and school yesterday. Buses are full-packed, majority of train stations were closed, bare traffic eveywhere and loads of people walking on the road. Is 40k a year isn't enough with a job nothing harder to do but to push a button? These train drivers are insane! They earn more than a teacher, nurse or an office worker does and what else are they asking for?
We are in the middle of a recession and what the heck this drivers are thinking of? They are demanding a pay rise, however, they didn't think about the people who might lose their job just because of this kind of stupidity?
I'm a student and I go to college by bus, sometimes by train when I'm on a rush. Having no service on the trains didn't bothered me, however, crowded buses and traffic jams really made me sick. Yesterday morning was Ok because my class start at 11 am but in the afternoon, I got on the bus at 2pm and got home 5pm. What's up with that? I would have done many things at home.
I just hope that these drivers realise how hard it is for us not having convenience in travelling. They must feel lucky that their job doesn't require any qualifications as full trainings are given, yet, they recieve above average amount of annual wage and I don't think it is fair.
